Su has more than 13 years of experience in developing assays and probes for biomedical applications, environmental monitoring, and homeland security. Prior to joining Varro, she was a Senior Research Scientist at the biotech startup XCellCure, where she played a key role in developing a prognostic cardiac multiplex assay for FDA 510(k) submission. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and has extensive postdoctoral research experience. From 2017 to 2019, she worked on multiplex electrochemical assays at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. She then focused on wearable electrochemical platforms at Virginia Commonwealth University in the U.S. from 2020 to 2021. In 2022, she was a Staff Scientist at WUSTL from March to July, where she established an electrochemical workstation and trained students in electrochemical immunoassays for point-of-care systems.
She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and is a co-inventor of a U.S. patent commercialized by Virginia Commonwealth University. Additionally, she serves as a Review Editor for Frontiers in Analytical Chemistry and other journals, including ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces and Biosensors.
