Saamia Salik is an electroanalytical chemist and Research Associate II at Varro Life Sciences. She earned her M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Missouri, where she developed electrochemical DNA biosensors for RNA biomarker detection, focusing on label-free and redox-tagged DNA probe–based approaches. Her work also includes reactive oxygen species sensing in cochlear implant systems. She is interested in translating electrochemical principles into practical biomedical devices and diagnostic technologies.
