Keith Fife, Ph.D.

Keith is an architect of CMOS sensor systems at chip scale. He was a pioneer in the use of semiconductors for DNA sequencing, and developed Proton and Proton2 chips for Ion Torrent / Life Technologies / Thermofisher based on electrochemical proton sensing for sequencing by synthesis. He also created optical sensing DNA chips for Illumina and Qsi using pyrosequencing and single molecule.  He co-founded two semiconductor sensor companies and has developed over 200 chip patents.
