Sandy is a biomedical engineer with a background in medical device design, bioelectronics, and biomaterials. She brings experience from both industry and academic research, having worked with Pfizer’s gene therapy group and the Rutz Lab at Washington University in St. Louis. Sandy also co-founded CERV, a women’s health startup developing a novel device for monitoring labor, where she has led prototype development, fundraising, and regulatory strategy. She earned her BS and MS in Biomedical Engineering at Washington University, with additional training in physics and data science. Outside of work, Sandy enjoys baking with sourdough, crocheting, and spending time with her cat, Mabel.
